Antibiotic Effects Kit - # AEK30:
This kit, based on the Bauer-Kirby test, investigates the effectivenss of three antibiotics using disks of penicillin, tetracycline and chloramphenicol on a petri dish. The following day, students measure the clear zones of inhibition around each disk to find out which of the three antibiotics were most effective against each bacteria. Includes: 30 Total Count Easygel, 30 Easygel Petri Dishes, 3 broth cultures (Enterobacter aerogenes, Bacillus cereus, Sarcina lutea), 3 tubes of 30 treated disks (Penicillin, Tetracyline, Chloramphenicol), 6 1 mL Droppers, Teacher Guide, Student worksheet (for duplication). |
