At Micrology Laboratories, decades of experience have made microbiology accessible to everyone.  Today, we offer numerous products and specialized kits which are well-suited for educational use: 

Easygel is not agar, but an agar replacement.  It comes in a sterilized, two-piece unit, including a bottle of liquid medium and a plate treated with a special formulation.  The material comes ready to use:  students just add a test sample and pour the solution into a pretreated Petri dish. 

• Easygel Kits:  At Micrology Laboratories, we sell specific kits to make your scientific experiments even easier.  These no-hassle kits come with everything you’ll need to use Easygel in the classroom.  You will receive all needed materials for a group of 30 students, including a valuable instructional guide and student worksheets.

   Use Easygel and compare how three different antibiotics effect three different
   bacterial species with our “Antibiotic Effects” kit, or try our “Introductory” kit to test
   water samples, such as puddles and fountain water, and to test the surfaces of
   objects.

• Easygel individual media:  Use Easygel for specific tests, without buying an entire kit.  For example, try our patented Coliscan Easygel and test for E. coli and general coliforms.  Or, use “Total Count” for doing total populations of microorganisms.
